These agreements were reached following the talks held in Mumbai with the participation of GJEPC, WDB and the World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDMF), headed by Alex Popov.
"If we want to increase the share of spending on diamonds in the structure of world consumption of luxury goods, we need to develop specific marketing and promotion of diamonds, and the World Diamond Mark is the only solution. This program will help not only unite participants in all segments of the diamond pipeline, but also strengthen consumer confidence and confidence in the purity of the diamonds they acquire. GJEPC will contribute to the implementation of the WDM program, within the framework of the agreements reached, "- said the chairman of GJEPC Vipul Shah (Vipul Shah).
"The Indian Diamond Exchange, which is the world's largest diamond exchange, views WDM support as a debt for each industry participant. BDB held a WDM team meeting with BDB board members, and we are pleased to be among the first industry participants to support this initiative. It is time for decisive action on the part of diamond manufacturers, and we believe that WDM is the best solution for the future of the diamond industry, "said BDB President Anoop Mehta.
