Tzoffey's company is preparing to hold an auction of diamonds and colored gems during the upcoming American and international diamond week in Israel, which will be held from 26 to 29 August in Ramat Gan, according to a press release received by Rough & Polished by e-mail. Preliminary inspection of the lots will be organized in the premises adjacent to the Israeli Diamond Exchange, during the first three days of the event, and the auction will be held on August 28.
"Israel is one of the largest centers of diamond production and trade. Within the framework of this auction, unique diamonds will be put up for sale, "said Tzoffey's director Avner Sofiov. "Nowhere, except for Israel, buyers will not be able to see such a wide range of precious stones and a rich selection of unique products on the market."
Among the lots exhibited at Tzoffey's auction, a 50-carat brilliant intense yellow fancy, a kushon cut, an emerald-cut sapphire weighing over 50 carats, a fantasy orange-brown cut diamond, type IIa, weighing 77.52 carat, as well as a 62-carat diamond category triple-ex, VS.
