Diamond Show took place in the Swiss Basel, where the best diamonds from the world's 60 leading manufacturers and dealers were presented. The fair provided participants with an excellent opportunity to express themselves in the key European market and meet the actual needs of the diamond industry in the current environment.
The organizers found the Markthalle building as a fairground for the fair, located in the very center of Basel, which was prepared for the event in just a week. For the fancy colored diamonds a specialized salon was equipped.
Director Rapaport Exhibitions Mordy Rapaport (Mordy Rapaport) said: "The diamond fair is a place for serious buyers of diamonds who are looking for the best quality goods at real market prices. We are pleased to provide them with an unprecedented opportunity to work directly with leading manufacturers and dealers of diamonds. "
The Diamond Fair was held simultaneously with the jewelry and watch week of Baselworld-2014, so many could combine the visit of both events. A survey of some companies conducted by Rapaport Exhibitions revealed that many can not afford high fees for participating in the Baselworld exhibition, and some dealers were dissatisfied with the fact that the pavilion of precious stones at the Baselworld fair this year was in the remote part of the hall. As a result, both traders, buyers of diamonds and diamond jewelry, as well as collectors and investors were pleased with the new opportunities that opened in Basel.
The Diamond Fair was sponsored by six companies providing services to the diamond industry: gemological laboratories GGTL Laboratories, Institute of Gemmology HRD Antwerp, iDiamondCloud (online jewelery and jewelery program), International Gemological Institute (IGI), Sarine Technologies and K-Diamonds.
