On the annual "Rapaport Breakfast", which will be held on June 1, from 8 to 10 am, at the jewelry fair JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show, Onkokame Kitso Mokaila, minister of minerals, energy and water resources will address the participants of the international jewelry trade Botswana.
The event will be hosted at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Rapaport said in a press release.
The Minister will deliver a brief presentation that will highlight Botswana's strategic role and expectations for the diamond and jewelry industries. Botswana is the largest diamond-mining state with an annual diamond output of 20.5 million carats worth $ 3.6 billion.
The presentation during the breakfast will be made by the chairman of the Indian Council for the Promotion of the Export of Gem and Jewelery Export Promotion Council, Vipul Shah. India is the world's largest producer of diamonds, the total number of Indian cutters exceeds 500,000, and the volume of polished exports is $ 20.5 billion per year.
