De Beers has taken part in the second business forum "The US - Africa", organized by the September 21 US Department of Commerce and Bloomberg's charitable foundation in the hotel "Plaza" in New York, according to IDEX Online.

Cleaver said the success of the partnership between Botswana and De Beers, which has been going on for almost 50 years and is one of the most durable in the world and the most successful public-private partnerships.

Representatives of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KP) reported that the Government of the Central African Republic (CAR) and the country's largest diamond mining company SODIAM will obey the decision taken by the KP at its meeting in Angola in July last year.
Earlier, the UAE media quoted the acting head of KP Ahmed bin Sulayem (Ahmed Bin Sulayem), which, as reported, was able to overcome long-standing differences between the two parties on the resumption of diamond exports from the CARs.
According to Rapaport portal, an agreement was made in 2015 that the Central African Republic to resume the supply of diamonds. Meanwhile, the country will need to adhere to the program that will ensure the traceability of diamonds from a number of conflict zones in some regions of the Central African Republic.
Press secretary of the KP Evgeniy Garanin noted that the Minister of the mining industry CAR Dzhozef Agbo (Joseph Agbo) and CEO SODIAM Viken Arslanian (Viken Arslanian) agreed to follow the "road map" proposed by the KP.
"As a result, both sides will follow the agreements reached in Luanda in July 2015, so that the monitoring group CP propose concrete terms the resumption of diamond exports," - he added.
Garanin also said that the Monitoring Group re-review of the agreement and to discuss further steps for its implementation.
