The Responsible Jewelry Council practice (Responsible Jewellery Council, RJC) announced the start of the analysis of the technical feasibility of including colored gems in its list of certified materials. Now RJC certifies only diamonds, gold and platinum group metals.
During the fair Baselworld 2016 RJC representatives reported on the convening of the development team standards that explore how it is colored gems will become part of the approach RJC.
Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri (Gaetano Cavalieri), President of the World Jewelery Confederation (CIBJO), has agreed to become special adviser to the new study.
