Diamond Manufacturers Association (Diamond Producers Association, DPA) and the Council to promote the export of precious stones and jewelery (Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, GJEPC) of India signed a memorandum of understanding at the JCK Show in Las Vegas. The contract is aimed at increasing demand for polished diamonds in the world and improving the image of the diamond industry, they say in the DPA.
DPA JCK exhibition unveiled its new marketing platform "Genuine - rarely" (Real is Rare). The memorandum was signed by the chairman of DPA Stiven Luse (Stephen Lussier) and Chairman GJEPC Pravinshankar Pandya (Praveenshankar Pandya). Chairman of the Organization pledged to assist in strengthening the fundamentals of the diamond industry and encourage consumer demand for diamonds.
GJEPC agreed to invest in the marketing strategy of DPA 2016 and work hand in hand with the DPA leadership to study the long-term opportunities for cooperation.
DPA and GJEPC agreed to hold quarterly meetings to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the diamond industry, the marketing progress and exchange views on the industry.
