International Institute of diamond classification and research (IIDGR), which is a subsidiary of the De Beers Group, presented the device at Phosview jewelery conference in the UK on October 3-4.

The device allows users to view, colorless and almost colorless diamonds of 0.003 to 1 carat on the screen when the rocks are exposed to ultraviolet radiography of. The method allows to identify stones that emit phosphorescent or glow, indicating that they may be synthetic.
Jewelery UK conference, organized by the Group jewelers (Company of Master Jewellers), will also include a demonstration of the leading gemological services to the diamond industry from IIDGR.
