Stellar Diamonds reported a "verbal confirmation" approved by the Council under the Ministry of Mines of Sierra Leone on the application of the project license area Tongo (Tongo).
In a statement sent to Rough & Polished, it said that the licensing process is administered by the National Agency for Mineral Resources, which is one of the branches of the Ministry of Mines.
That the agency is expected to soon send Stellar official response, after which will be considered by the Ministry of Mines agreement under license.
"After that, Stellar and the Government of Sierra Leone will discuss the financial terms of the license of the project As a result, the final agreement should be ratified by Parliament.", - the report says the diamond company.
However, in Stellar noted that parallel negotiations with the Agency for the Protection of the Environment of Sierra Leone to obtain licenses for the use of natural resources, which should also be given to the company before the start of diamond mining.
