The cost of sales of an online diamond and jewelry retailer increased by 19.1% to $ 87.9 million. Blue Nile's profit jumped 39.8% to $ 2.2 million, or 18 cents per share.
The company reported that international sales in the second quarter showed an increase of 19.1% year-on-year to $ 17.1 million. Sales of engagement jewelry in the US jumped by 22% to $ 63.9 million, sales of other product categories increased by 11 , 3% to $ 27 million.

"Double-digit revenue growth was recorded during the 5th consecutive quarter, which demonstrates our firm position as a leading global retailer of high-quality diamonds and jewelry."
