Lucapa Diamond Company reported that the projected resources Lulo project (Lulo) increased by 10% in volume - from 550 200 cubic meters of ore by the end of 2015 to 606 600 cubic meters as of January 31, 2017.
The company said that the increase in the forecast of resources has occurred in spite of the diamond sales of $ 55 million, carried out after the publication of the previous estimate of diamond resources.
In Lucapa also said that has been raised and the average target price of diamonds with the project. It has increased from $ 806 per carat to $ 1246 per carat.
Simulated diamond values from Lulo was raised because in 2016 the average price of sold since the project was $ 2983 stones per carat, which was the highest in terms of money among all employees diamond projects in the world over the past year.
As of January 31, 2017 Lucapa and its partners Endiama and Rosas & Petalas carried out production at Lulo for the past 15 months.
